Confederate Burial Index Search

The listings of Confederate burials are recorded by the Ladies Memorial Association for the Confederate Cemetery, located on the corner of Amelia Street and Washington Avenue in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Organized on May 10, 1866, the Ladies' Memorial Association of Fredericksburg, Virginia, still in existence today, cares for the graves and honors the Confederate soldiers who died in this area's four battles of the "War Between the States." The Fredericksburg Confederate Cemetery was dedicated in 1870 to 3,553 men from fourteen states who were reinterred here. The Association raised money and appealed to the former Confederate states to fund a memorial and headstones for the graves.

You can search by last name only or by Potter's Field, the Memorial and citizens' section of the cemetery.
